Ok, I have spent time in the gallery and poking around on the internet to see what colors have been used on numerous Z’s. One car that caught my eye was the car (attached) with UK license plate. My question is does any one know what color this is, paint code or even the owner?

I would greatly appreciate any and all input on this color!

I'm from the UK and i'm fairly sure it belonged to Mike Harris who goes under the name of 'moggy240' on www.zclub.net who should be able to provide you with the correct color code or wait until Alan T chimes in with his usual quality information.

Greatly appreciate everyones comments. Not really sure if it is the Safari gold, it appears to be more orange tint/gold. Oldschool, I will admit the Sunburst Yellow appears to be in the correct direction. Do you have a frontal view of your car? The picture in your garage cuts the car and was taken at an angle. Ray, I really hope that if the car belongs to Mike, he will chim in. If not I will attempt to track him down over and pm him.

Looking at paint chips just makes it so hard to decide on a color. Looking at a car with the color makes one more comfortable that they are not getting ready to make a mistake. All I can say is that color what ever it may be is a color that gets you a speeding ticket while parked.

Eventually I know this color will be indentified!

Try looking at some of RatDat's USA paint codes as well,if the car you mentioned was/is actually owned by Moggy then it did originally come from your side of the water,did you notice the steering wheel & wipers on 'your side'?

Not sure if he comes on here or even if it's the original color so maybe your best bet would be to pm him via the zclub,he's a really helpful chap & the club's Insurance Valuation Officer as well.

Hey Newt, I'll try to upload more images soon. I think the paint code was "HB" at Mazda. I actually looked for several years for the exact shade of yellow I wanted. It's an early Miata color which was also reintroduced more recently with a different code.

Looks like the ppg Cortez Yellow I put on my 68 Super Bee, accents against the black trim the same way.

Hey all, Ray, I had the same thought yesterday after reading your reply. I did go over to the zcar.com form and found his pm and sent him my question. Have yet heard back from him but not in any real big hurry. OldSchool, will greatly appreciate the extra pics to get a better optical view of the color from different angles. 5thhorseman, I will have to take a look at the cortez yellow by ppg.

Hey all, finally tracked down what the color is. The car does belong to Mike Harris, and the color is;

ALFA ROMEO POZZUOLI YELLOW AR127 1976 1977
