SportBikeMike Posted December 15, 2011 Share #2 Posted December 15, 2011 Keep the car and enjoy it! If you get bored, buy another project car.
Travel'n Man Posted December 15, 2011 Share #3 Posted December 15, 2011 I would have to say to get some pictures up so we can see what you are discussing.
steve91tt Posted December 15, 2011 Share #4 Posted December 15, 2011 I was in your shoes a couple of years ago after spending 10 years working on a 1991 twin turbo z. I ended up selling it and started working on a couple of 240s. The 240 is a very different car than the twin turbo with very different challenges and learning opportunities. I enjoy working on both but in different ways. You might consider selling your current project and move to something completely different.
Healey Z Posted December 15, 2011 Share #5 Posted December 15, 2011 To some, the journey is the reward. If the car doesn't light your fire anymore, time to move on.

Unkle Posted December 15, 2011 Share #7 Posted December 15, 2011 Maybe you've hit the wall with '' stuff " ! If " Stuff " , or the accumulation thereof won't light your fire anymore , quit now while you are ahead.Did you want to go "there" i.e. philosophy 101 ? : )Have a Merry Christmas . Arne Posted December 16, 2011 Share #9 Posted December 16, 2011 These things happen, some people can stick with things like a car forever. And some of us need to move to new things after a while. If you still find that you aren't enjoying having the car after the holidays, make plans to sell it and move on. It's no big deal. As nice as they are (and yes, I still think they are great cars), Z cars are just things. And sometimes you might need a new thing to get excited about. Healey Z Posted December 16, 2011 Share #10 Posted December 16, 2011 I really thought I would regret selling my cobra replica. But for me, it was kind of the same thing, the mojo was gone. I had done everything I wanted to do, enjoyed it, put plenty of miles on it (25K) and it was time to move on to something else.
cygnusx1 Posted December 16, 2011 Share #11 Posted December 16, 2011 Winter will do that to us folks that have to deal with it. OTOH, by springtime, you may feel the urge to enjoy the Z again.
