Posted December 26, 201113 yr comment_375471 Hello all,I replaced my door weather stripping that I purchased from MSA about 5 months ago. The one that seals completely around the door. The passenger side door now opens and closes like it should. The driver side however is still really tight. Harder to open and close. I have read that it takes a bit to "seat in". I thought 5 months was long enough. I tried adjusting the door catch on the body itself with no success. Is there something else I can do. Sometimes I think I'm going to break my door handle off, the exterior one that is. Thanks for your help. Oh, any fuel injection guys or gals out there mind looking at my post "another Z with cold start issues" would be appreciated. Thanks.Bob Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/41743-door-weather-stripping/ Share on other sites
December 26, 201113 yr comment_375472 Five months is a long time. Is the Z parked inside or outside where sunshine can warm the car? The sun's heat does wonders for helping to compress the door seals. Granted, it gets a little warmer here in the desert than in Ventura.Dennis Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/41743-door-weather-stripping/#findComment-375472 Share on other sites
December 26, 201113 yr Author comment_375476 Dennis,The Z is parked in my garage. I drive it maybe 3-4 times a month. So maybe I need to give it some more time. However, my passenger side is good. But I did change it before the driver side. Thanks for your input.Bob Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/41743-door-weather-stripping/#findComment-375476 Share on other sites
