Posted December 28, 201113 yr comment_375610 I have been working on this car for years. My workflow over the past few years has been relaxed, with me often getting discouraged do to a less than desirable workspace. January 2011 I built a 30x40 shop. I have spent the better part of this year outfitting the shop and finishing up some other projects. I am excited that after many years of my Z being broken down, sad, and getting worse every day, she is coming back to life. With many bruised knuckles and hours of scratching my head, her engine fired up and is running smoothly. I took the doors, fenders, hatch, and hood off to help with the choice to change from black to white. I sanded, cut everything in and the reinstalled the parts.I have decided to paint her Matte white, I am adding ZG style fender flares and a fiberglass 240z front bumper. I will keep this thread updated with pictures and details of the progress. I have never repainted a car and I have only read books on common paint and body repair techniques. I have no time frame set. This should be an exciting adventure, and I hope some of you can at least be entertained by my efforts! Expect pictures soon! December 30, 201113 yr comment_375789 Can I ask your source for the fiberglass 240Z style bumper? You mentioned front...what about the rear, are you changing that one too? December 30, 201113 yr Author comment_375804 On the rear I am shaving it all. I figured I would order it from the Z store.
