now how do i take the wheel locks out?, i've never done anything like that before.. also where can i get a new set of locks/ key i know victoria british sells a key/lock combo for the ignition(which i need too) but i don't see anything in their catalog for the door/hatch? any input would help

Do a forum search and you should find a few answers to removing the wheel lugs.

MSA might be able to help you with the locks, they had a kit that included all the locks that are keyed the same. It is sometimes unavailable, so e-mail or call them to see if they have it in stock. IIRC it is about 200 bucks for the complete set... not cheap, but better than no locks or locks with a bunch of different keys.....

Next time call AAA (or a locksmith) for a lock out call, they can use their tool that slides into the door to unlock the door. Once you're into the car you can remove the locks and they can be re-keyed. Beats having find locks that are expensive if available at all.

PS some guy on eBay sells some door/hatch locks occasionally. I don't think they are original 240Z locks, but he claims they will work. He asks over $100 for the three lock set. He may be a member of our club.

The way I have done this in the past.

Get out your grinder or file. Put a flat edge on the locking lug. Then crank down the other lugs and take a hammer and a punch and tap the locking lug loose. Or put two flat spots on the locking lug and put a large visegrip one the locking lug and tap it loose. If you crank down the non locking lugs first the locking one will take less work too free it.

P.S. If you have a grinder work on the lug asap after grinding. The heat from that will help free it up.

hope it helps
