Safety Belt Fitting

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone

I want to fit some US 280z safety Belts to a UK car.

It looks like on a US car, they fit into a recess in the rear panel behind the two sweater seats.

Does anyone have a photo of this please?

Can anyone cut out from a wrecker for me?

Thanks,

Steve

Hi

It's the belts in the lower picture that I have, they seem like they will pick-up on the b pillar bolt ok, but I don't have the recess or the hole for the 'longitudinal' bolt.

If anyone has a photo of them fitted with the recess, I would appreciate it.

Thanks,

Steve

As I mentioned before, I have installed aftermarket seatbelts in my Z cars. I bought them from a company called WESCO Performance. The model I used in the 260Z was WELR-N, Roadster seatbelt. The retracting mechanism mounted high, near the hatch, while the bottom was anchored on the floor. I opted to buy the extra hardware. That made mounting the center portion of the belt a breeze. I'll post some pictures later.
