Posted December 31, 201113 yr comment_375900 Yesterday I got the dash and wiring harness back in. Ive got one small leak from a brake line at the master cylinder I need to fix. I noticed the front clip is bent a little bit but dont think it will be noticable when put back together. The radiator still fits ok, so I will have to leave it for now. The wiring part isnt as bad as people think. Most of the plugs are self explanatory and the rest is fairly easy to see where they went. My wires were all labeled but most big plugs probably didnt need to be. Im getting ready to paint the block and put everything back on it so I can put it back in. Hopefully that will be done in next couple weeks or so. Brian Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/41791-latest-progress-on-240/ Share on other sites

March 19, 201213 yr comment_384539 Pjoe,Is that a metallic gray color? I was interested in painting components separately but was concerned the flake would lay differently on each panel and look different when reassembled. I would love to know how well they match when reassembled. They look really good in the photos. Did you use basecoat/clearcoat or single stage? Thanks, Charles Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/41791-latest-progress-on-240/#findComment-384539 Share on other sites

March 19, 201213 yr Author comment_384618 Thanks for the compliments. It is a metallic color(or at least an EFFECT color). I dont think there will be any problem with panels being different color. I did spray everthing at same time so it wasnt like I mixed paint at seperate times. I would reccomend painting jams and inside of doors then mounting them back on car to paint them. I have a spot on my door that will need to be repainted at some point from where i turned it over and the sticky paint on the foam of my saw horses stuck to the door. Of course I was out of paint at that time so I cleared it and figured it will be something to do later.
