Ok well most of my metal work is done and after she is painted and sound proofed I guess I will have to put her back together. I have all of my big bits and pieces but was wondering if someone knew how many small metal clips and plastic receivers I will need for the door panels and other parts that use them(I am pretty sure the inner dog legs use them also). I need a count on those and also wanted to know if anyone knew of a video or step by step picture directions to putting the window and lock mech back in the doors?

My bad thoughti put this in open discussion. This is by no means a emergency.

well i count 11 on each door and 6 on each dogleg...anyone know of any other places they are used?

Jamie, I'm not sure what clips/plastic you're talking about. Can you post pictures of the ones you have?

The clips are the metal ones that clip the door panals to the actual doors the plastic parts are the pieces that receive these clips. Here is a link to the part on MSA website. just realized msa wants 1.45 per clip and .89 for each receiver...perhaps I should see if eddie has some used ones to sell

Nissanparts.cc lists the door clips at 90 cents each...if they can still get them.

The plastic caps are listed for 37 cents...again, if available.

If you're not in a hurry, you can try to order them. If they can't get them, you'll usually hear back in a few days.

I will give it a shot. .37 beats .89 all day long.

ok ordered the plugs hope they are correct. I will let you know. From what I have read these are only on early 240 because the latter years switched to plastic clips with no receivers.

Funny, my 260Z door panels had metal clips...at least I think it did.

that place is great, the parts guy was very nice and helpfull. he actually pulled the part and described it to me to make sure it was correct
