280zx

I think all the 2+2 models are ugly, especially the 280zx. Now if you could get your hands on a 2 seater 280zx. they aren't too bad looking, But were never sold in Australia, neither was the 300ZX 2 seater.

I dont mind the look of the Z31. The later revision with the smoother wheel arches.

But try and get a 240Z.

Seen the new nissan Ad with the sliver 280zx 2 seater doing donuts in a field or carpark? Funny, since they were never sold in australia. Expect the ad to be replaced with one that has a blue Z32 doing donuts in a carpark. I saw it at the launch of the 350Z.

There is aslo another 350Z ad in which the 240Z features more prominatly that the other 350Z ad.

Alfa, what company you insured with? I might have to give them a call.

Suncorp-Metway.

24OZ the saying "Driver's car" means a no-fuss car that involves the driver in every bit of the experience. It's about driving - nothing else. Well that's what the term means in Australia.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, it's just that when you own one you're naturally going to be a little biased... just giving my opinion which I am entitled to, as are you. :)

I've never seen a 2 seater 280ZX though, so maybe they look better in the flesh? A hell of a lot better...

I really like both cars. I enjoy my 240z far better, but the 280zxs were more confortable. If you have 6k then get both. 4k can still get you a decent 240 and 2k can get you a decent ZX. If you are going to use it as a daily driver, you can switch days and have 2 cars so if one needs service you can simply take the other.

I got a 240Z and I use it on weekends and will be using the 280z as a daily driver. I plan to do a performance restoration of my 240z, and drive my 280z and use the 240 as back up. I am also planning on buying a 280zx turbo in the future so I can cut my miles in half between the z and zx. Plus i miss that 280zx feel, they feel different but good.

Maybe i sound crazy.

I already have 2 240z's(one for parts) and one 280z, and I still will be looking for a fourth Z.

I guess i have Z fever.

The only known cure for Z fever is

MORE Z!LOL

I would strongly suggest not getting 2 cars unless you have a pretty decent income. Insurance and rego costs double, and you're bound to get problems with both of them.

Also, fstr240Z you must remember that your dollar is worth more, and also Z's are more common. When Rogue says 6k, I think he means $6000 AUD - which translates roughly into $3600 USD. I would guess there would be about 10 240Z's for public sale in the whole of Australia at any given time...

I didn't see he was from AUS. I'm from TX,

you know. The part with long wide highways, and twisty farm roads that don't see policemen but maybe once a year.

I am 23 and only pay $120 for insurance on both my cars. Yeah I guess it would be a bad idea for him to get 2 cars.

I should have seen his location.:stupid:

I paid $4200 for mine. You can have a look at the photos of it in my gallery. To give you an idea of price/condition.

Needs rings, so I'm gonna rebuild the engine, and strip and repaint the car. No much rust. What rust it had has been cut and welded.
