Posted January 26, 201213 yr comment_378792 My tach is dead. PO had installed column mounted tach (light wired to left front marker). Removed wing nut on back(only one was installed) and tach won't budge. How much force is required? January 26, 201213 yr comment_378795 No appreciable force should be required. It is a slight taper fit around the bezel so it might be wedged in a bit. January 26, 201213 yr Author comment_378838 Turns out there was a small nut in place of the wing nut holding it in place. Thought I had a spare 3 wire. Turns out I have 5 4-wire tachs and 3 280 tachs. :disappoin Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/42069-removing-tachometer-from-1973/#findComment-378838 Share on other sites
