Posted February 5, 201213 yr comment_379793 Les is assembling my NOS dash for the restoration and can not find the flasher switch. I have two and do not know which to send him. Does anyone know which switch is appropriate for my 1972 Z? It has a production date of June I believe. February 5, 201213 yr comment_379802 Jerry, the parts CD really doesn't nail it down for you. I do know that the right switch in your picture was on the series 1 cars which would be up to production date of 1/71, as it was on my 1-71 car, and may, indeed, have been found on all '71 cars. The part number would have to be 25910-E4600. I am guessing that the other switch in your picture (left switch) would have a part number of 25910-E8300 or E8800. My best guess is that the left switch would be correct for your car and the E8300 or E8800series part numbers would be common to many parts correct for your 6/72 car. No very scientific, but just my best guess.Dan Edited February 5, 201213 yr by AZ-240z Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/42184-flasher-switch/#findComment-379802 Share on other sites
February 5, 201213 yr Author comment_379806 Thanks Dan. You have confirmed my thoughts on which switch is correct for my 1972. I know that one is from a series 1 car and one is from an early 73 series 2. Thanks for the help. February 5, 201213 yr comment_379810 Have a look at the back side of the dash. If you have the fiber-optic light for the Lighter AND the 4-way Flasher, then neither one of the switches you're showing is correct. (The Flasher switch that uses the fiber optic cable is the Green PULL knob.)If you do NOT have the fiber optic light, then it's probably the one on the left (without the dashes and wording) as Dan mentions.E Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/42184-flasher-switch/#findComment-379810 Share on other sites
February 5, 201213 yr comment_379811 Jerry, my 5/72 production car has the one on the left, so I am sure that is the correct one for your car too.-Mike Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/42184-flasher-switch/#findComment-379811 Share on other sites
