Chris.....I'm not sure, but if I recall, they were from an early Toyota Fourrunner (maybe 1984)......If I were you, I'd get Conedodger's (Rob's)friend to rebuild your stock units as mentioned in post number 2 (Willoughby Z). That guy does an amazing job, and a rebuilt set of stock Z calipers will work as well as the Toyoshimo's with no cutting required. Unless you're racing, replacing the rear drums with discs is a major job (PITA). I'd stick with drums. IMO

Which Toyota calipers are these? I'm gonna need brake pads for them sometime, but MSA isn't very forth coming about what they are. Which ones are the XL calipers?

As long as I'm asking, anyone know which calipers are in their rear conversion kit?

If you want to stick with the stock style calipers but not mess with rebuilding yours I would recommend looking at Advance Auto Parts. I bought their house line of reman calipers (Fenco) and I am very happy with them. They looked better than the pictures online out of the box, the piston and seal looked to be of good quality, and the pad hardware was yellow zinc plated. They installed with no fuss and have worked great. The parts numbers are below. If you order them on their website you can take advantage of their discount code and then go pick them up in person, that is what I did. I think I paid $26 out the door for each and took my old ones back for the $5 core charge. For that kind of money and considering I don't have a sandblaster it was a no-brainer.

My calipers that Eric at PMB rebuilt still look and perform as if they were installed yesterday. Some of the mass rebuilders calipers look as if they need to be rebuilt before you put them on.
