Posted February 12, 201213 yr comment_380569 Can someone give me an idea of what a good paint job in original color with no rust and only minor dings will run? Needs to be good quality but doesn't have to be collector grade. Thanks in advance for any responses. February 12, 201213 yr comment_380580 I paid $3000 for mine, BUT ,.... I did all the fabrication and bodywork first. The 3k was just for a good block job, and paint. Included jambs and underside of hood etc... I'd say 4-5k is about right Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/42258-typical-cost-of-a-repaint-1978-280z/#findComment-380580 Share on other sites

Even the buildup primers used in block sanding are crazy expensive...
