Posted February 19, 201213 yr comment_381367 Hello All, I am getting ready to reinstall my Intakes and Header manifolds. It has been many years since I removed them from the engine and do not remember what type of seal was at the end of the water tube between the intake manifolds, O-ring? Some type of rubber gasket? How did everybody seal this tube? Nissan shows the seals as no longer available. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Jeff Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/42339-sealing-intake-manifold-water-tube/ Share on other sites
February 20, 201213 yr Author comment_381471 Nobody had this problem before? How did everybody install these without leaks? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/42339-sealing-intake-manifold-water-tube/#findComment-381471 Share on other sites
February 20, 201213 yr comment_381483 A lot of owners are taking that degrading water system out entirely. Just another thing on these old pots that'll leave you standing beside the road out of water. February 20, 201213 yr Author comment_381484 Bruce, Thank you for the reply. Does removing it effect the drivability that much or do you just wait a few extra minutes for the carbs to warm up? February 20, 201213 yr comment_381486 In Ct. I'm assuming a summer time driver? Is so it shouldn't affect anything. Winter driving, possibly. If they are four screws you didn't have water into the carb bodies like the three screws had anyway.....
