I'm repainting my Black Pearl and am wondering about the pin stripe. I've search past posts and found something in 2009 regarding a pin stripe kit that once was available. Does anyone know if this available anywhere or should I just paint the stripes on? Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure if you have had any luck but I found someone who has the original black pearl patterns software and instructions. I need more people to want to order kits before they would make them. I think they might do it with 5 orders. Let me know if you still are looking. Mark

Yes, originally they wanted 10 orders, I asked if I got 5 orders would they give me a price and he said yes. My understanding is that the work setting them up with company that cuts the stripes makes it too much to only do an order or two. There is also a decent amount of waste in making the stripes. Anyway, this is all I could get them to agree to after almost a year of trying. So right now we have 4 orders maybe if Jordan orders two. I have also gone on the Connecticut Z Club site and posted a notice if anybody is looking for Black Pearl stripes to let me know. If you know of any other Z sites please place a post or let me know and I will place one. Thanks---Mark 727-580-0433

There must be something about the Tampa Bay area - the last time I know of - there was a couple that pushed to get the strip kits reproduced. {Jessie & ?? in the Suncoast Z Club}. If that is the same software/company - the Kits worked out well.

People hate to buy things - sight unseen. Can that company print out a picture of the strips in that Kit? If so it might help you sell more.

Quick update on the Black Pearl stripes. I have 4 people (2 here and one from another web site, plus my order) that want to order the Black Pearl stripes but at this point I have not heard back from the people that do the stripes if they will move forward with a smaller order like 5 or so. A little frustrating. Carl, you are correct it is Jesse and Michelle that used to live in Tampa but now live in Georgia. I do not have a quote on the cost as it will be somewhat dependent on how many orders and mainly because I have not heard back from them. I have attached a video from You Tube of a restored Black Pearl. I spoke to the owner of this Z and he was the one that put me in touch with Michelle. Having bought my Black Pearl brand new in 1978, these stripes are spot on. If you are thinking or restoring a Black Pearl or need a back up set of the stripe set please let me know. Great, I heard back from Michelle a little over a week ago and she is going to get back to me once she talks to the company that last produced the stripes about 6-7 years ago. I will post a price as soon as she gets back to me.

Quick update. We will have the quote for the Black Pearl stripe kit after the first of the year. The decal shop moved locations and has been swamped so they said they will get back to Michelle after the first of Jan.
