Interceptor Posted April 8, 2014 Share #16 Posted April 8, 2014 Hi,I'm getting a Z soon myself. And the car is coming with those wheels. The car was owned all this time by the same person but it's not him selling the car so I can't get more info about them. (dont know if he bought them as original wheels, with the car at the dealership back the day) do you know if there is any interest in those wheels? 'cause I'm thinking of not keeping them.. bartsscooterservice Posted April 8, 2014 Share #17 Posted April 8, 2014 (edited) Talking about Scimitar GTE.. yesterday I went looking for 14 inch mag wheels, and one guy near Amsterdam had them advertised as 114.3 PCD. Same as 240z right ? I took one of my wheels with me, but upon measuring his PCD seemed smaller like 108 , anyhow it was not the same ? Are there different PCD sizes for the GTE ?? bartsscooterservice Posted April 8, 2014 Share #18 Posted April 8, 2014 Just found out the guy never had those wheels under his scimitar gte he said today, he measured the pcd on his car today and it was indeed the same as 240z PCD of 114.3. The wheels he sold where a smaller PCD, but he advertised them as GTE wheels..
Interceptor Posted April 9, 2014 Share #19 Posted April 9, 2014 yep, indeed 240z's PCD is 114.3. I don't know about the Scimitar's though..
bartsscooterservice Posted April 9, 2014 Share #20 Posted April 9, 2014 Well I found out the Scimitar '' GTE '' has the same PCD that matches the 240z's. Also late 60's , 6 cylinder mustangs have the same PCD.
Interceptor Posted April 10, 2014 Share #21 Posted April 10, 2014 Good to know they both have 114.3 Anyone knows if those MAG wheels could be orignally issued on Z's at the dealership? I'd like to know if those can be original or not on my Z.
Reverend Posted April 11, 2014 Author Share #22 Posted April 11, 2014 If you have "euro" Z, Wolfrace slot mags were not issued at the dealership around here. Only in US.
HS30-H Posted April 11, 2014 Share #23 Posted April 11, 2014 Anyone knows if those MAG wheels could be orignally issued on Z's at the dealership? I'd like to know if those can be original or not on my Z.Not officially. But some UK & European dealerships offered their own selection of aftermarket parts for the cars, just like many of the dealerships in the USA & Canada did.If you have "euro" Z, Wolfrace slot mags were not issued at the dealership around here. Only in US.'Wolfrace' was a British company, and Wolfrace slotted alloy wheels were mostly seen on UK market cars.
Interceptor Posted April 11, 2014 Share #24 Posted April 11, 2014 (edited) Oh yeah, sorry, forgot to mention that my Z is French. Not a USDM one. Originally bought in Paris at the dealership, so yeah, EUDM And thanks for the input. I guess its almost impossible to know about this now.
