I just don't get it. What am I missing here? The Datsun isn't coming to the U.S. Nissan is planning to sell Datsuns in India, China, Russia, right? Why all the froo-ha-ha? I agree with the comment about the pick-up as the first model emphasizing function and utility.

Nostalgia.................that is all the fuzz ,and some wise individual will bring one to the US just to brag in a local car gathering. In Miami you see a bunch of recent model cars, that are not in the US market from exotics to frugal cars such as the NANO.

Gonna be a low end POS entry level car based on whatever platform NISSAN can muster wherever they are slapping them together.

And no Hitachis which is freeking breaking my heart! Gas straining thru cheesecloth into a soup can for carburetion. Want bigger jets, punch another hole in the can lid....

I can however see some boatloads of them coming to Canby from Siberia in a few years.....
