Hey Frank, without saying what they gave you, can you buy/build another car with what you got for yours? As much as it sucks, I hope you can at least get into a similar Z without money out of your pocket.

So, any news on the buy back?

Just this morning. A lot higher than I'd anticipated (although my experience with this sort of thing is ZERO) @ $2500. Gonna buy it back. If nothing else, I can reclaim the VIN plates for a little book I'm putting together documenting the life of the car.

Since I haven't decided on a replacement Z yet, I'll inventory the useable parts in the next few weeks to see what I might be able to use on another S30. The rest will be up for sale. Stay tuned, sports fans. The listing will be under the appropriate topic, and not here.

$2500 sounds very reasonable considering that the engine, trans, diff, brakes, etc are likely fine. It sucks to lose the car, but at least part of it can live on as part of your next S30. It's amazing what you can salvage. Be sure to remove and save EVERY nut, bolt, clip, etc. Rust free fasteners will come in very handy in the future. I have about five S30's worth of fasteners all sorted by size and type and I use them constantly.

Strange things hapen glad your OK. you ran in a loose trayler or may i correct the trailer ran into you. When i bough my Z

the very next day that i brouth it home i was going fishing with friend and a truck lost a set of wheel and i slamed it

in the face totaled my Pickup, trailer and boat. every one in the truck were not injured. but at the end i would say it did

cost 10000$ insurance problem in Canada you cannot insure a boat for a full year there is always a dearmement period

for the winter so i was not insured. had to go against the trucking company lots of problems. Evaluation against evaluation etc..

If it would have happend a week before i would not have bougth the Z. I would have

waited a bit. Now i got the car but i am waiting a bit to work on it i just did what needed to be done so i can drive it in

Canada. when i see a car damaged like this i know you where lucky eaven if you lost your car. It is metal after all

It is good to see that you will be getting another Z and be able to part out your poor friend. You should have a disassembly party with all of the Houston area club members. BYOB Beer and BBQ - I bet we could have you all parted out in a day!
