Posted March 14, 201213 yr comment_384025 The original owner of my '75 had the emblems shaved, ALL of them. I'm wanting to put them back on but he had all the holes either leaded or welded up (not body filler). Anybody know what bit size to use to re-drill the pin holes? I thought about cutting off the pins and using double sided tape but I want them to be absolutely stock Dave Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/42617-hole-size-for-emblems/ Share on other sites
March 14, 201213 yr comment_384030 The pins themselves are tapered from 2.3 to 2.8mm, they should have a steel barrel clip that goes on them for grip to the metal. I did not have any holes to measure on a 240Z, however my 521 pick up has holes that measure about 3.8mm. Hope this helps.Bonzi Lon Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/42617-hole-size-for-emblems/#findComment-384030 Share on other sites
March 23, 201213 yr comment_385145 I would suggest that you install the emblems with 3M automotive tape. No one will notice that you have applied them this way and you will avoid opening up your paint to moisture and rust.
