Looking for a "new" S30...

Me too.

Something isn't right with the suspension, IMO. Wheels aren't sitting right.

I noticed that and asked him for suspension information. He has lots of rhetoric in his write up. Would that be an attempt to fluff up the car's attributes whilst ignoring it's faults?

That is a good tactic when you are on the selling end. I see you are searching Cali cars, so you are willing to ship or travel to get what you want. If that is the case, you should be able to hold out and get what you want for the rite money, just saying, none of these jump out at me after seeing what you just lost. They will disapoint you.

These are just starting points. I'll post more as I run across them for the group's perusal. And yes, I'd travel a good distance to get the right one.

Found this one that looks very interesting.

I would question the missing paint on the front of the driver's door jamb, what's hanging from under the glove box area, and whether or not the dash has a cap or cracks on it. Definitely negotiable price and with parts from your old Z, this one would be sweet.

That does look interesting, Dave. The asking price seems a bit tall, but if it's negotiable, well then....

I'll contact them for more information.

Thanks!

Possible rust on the lower passengers side front fender. Some strange lighting or rust on the driver's side rear rocker panel seam. Also, both lower front fenders are curled up a little, just behind the front wheels (a pet peeve of mine but an easy fix). Good luck on the negotiation. You have plenty of ammo.

Good catch on the passenger side fender rust. Car is on ebay now with high res pics.

That car will absolutely have rust into the rocker if it has perforated the front fender. Pass or be prepared to invest big dollars on rust repair. The legacy of the cowl drain lives again.
