Hello folks i am looking to start a Z project, looking for a early Z and doing a v8 swap (diehards don't hate me!) any tips on looking for buying a Z or working on them would be great! p.s. im not new to cars and work on them for a living.

Thanks and cant wait to get started!

If I were going to do a V8 conversion - I'd look for the cleanest and least expensive 280Z body or rolling chassis I could find. They are stronger, had better corrosion protection than the earlier 240Z's - - and for good bodies they are usually far less expensive. They come with fuel tanks ready for FI as well. Of course the guys at HybridZ.org can offer a wealth of information when it comes to V8 swaps.. The other thing you really should start with is a large amount of money..

good luck

Carl B.
