Posted March 24, 201212 yr comment_385184 I remember this car from a few months ago. I guess he's going to pass it on.http://bham.craigslist.org/cto/2910508426.htmlIf I had the extra garage space and could get a deal I'd go out on a limb and buy it. Looks ok I guess? March 24, 201212 yr comment_385187 Why does he think it's a series one? Even so, if the rust isn't too bad it wouldn't be too bad a deal with the parts car also. March 24, 201212 yr comment_385216 Hi Carl.....I have a May 71 with the early console, angular half shafts/ short drive shaft, no vents in the tailgate, vertical defrost, E 31 head, "A" tranny and no 240z on pillars........all original. I understand that it's a transitional car. What is it? A series one or series two? It's the gold car I brought to ZCON. March 24, 201212 yr Author comment_385224 I have a question for Mr Beck and any other early Z enthusiast. I'm going through a '77 280 and having the time of my life, drinking beer and working on the car. I'm kind of worried when I get down I'll miss the work more than enjoying the ride, plus I'm not quitting the beer so I need another project to keep out of the jailhouse. Is this car something I might pursue for a later project? I could store it in a barn of my Dad's then it would be a "barn find" for me later. It's very close to me, I guess I should go and check it out and snap some pictures of the interior and motor huh? March 24, 201212 yr Author comment_385231 I realize that's about as clear as mud (I've been working on the 280). What I'm asking is would it be a desirable car and worth restoring? March 25, 201212 yr Author comment_385306 So it's a series II. This '77 whipped my butt today. There's not enough beer in Alabama for me to take on an older car. A beer toast to you! Good Luck Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/42730-71-240z-plus-78-parts-car-on-craigslist/#findComment-385312 Share on other sites
