May 11, 201212 yr comment_389637 Yes Zedy....that's the collar. The flywheel Eiji is installing will work with your 240 clutch. IMO, your 240 stuff will be your easiest solution.Your biggest obstacle is going to be installing the B tranny in your early car. The shifter is going to be tight against the tranny hole in your early console. Modding the shifter is no easy task, but you as an engineer will figure it out. Good Luck. May 11, 201212 yr comment_389639 However, if I go with a 280Z 225mm clutch then I need to find a new clutch fork and slave cylinder. . .......and a 280 collar. May 11, 201212 yr comment_389665 Zedy, my $.02 on originality...if its a bolt on part, you can always stick it in the corner of the garage and put it back on if you ever so desire. I can't tell you how nice the electronic dizzy and alternator are, not to mention how the 5 speed, shortened shifter and Momo steering wheel (good god those stock wheels are horrendous for driving) make the car feel. I'm sure your carbs will do the same. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/42732-clutch-recommendations/?&page=3#findComment-389665 Share on other sites

May 11, 201212 yr comment_389774 I bought some of Frank's parts off his wrecked car. He either had a 3.70 or 3.90, not sure if it was going in his new 240 or not. Might check with him. His car is at Awesome Z's at 59 Eastex FWY and Little York. If you switch to the Toyota 4x4 4 Pot calipers and want to source locally hit me up. You will need a 79 or 80 280zx Master Cylinder. That can be a tough find. I have been getting Andrew (ZCurves) car parts at VERY discounted prices for awhile now, he can attest.have you ever thought of a career selling drugs? As you have the pressure sales pitch down! haha Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/42732-clutch-recommendations/?&page=3#findComment-389774 Share on other sites
May 12, 201212 yr Author comment_389785 Guys I am not going to swap diffs anytime soon. I am quickly approaching my budgetary limits. The Eiji motor, the new tranny, new clutch, new triples I really should start a new build threadMy diff was not part of the planHaha Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/42732-clutch-recommendations/?&page=3#findComment-389785 Share on other sites
