azkyinc Posted April 7, 2012 Share #1 Posted April 7, 2012 Hi , I'm having problems with my windshield wipers. they aren't stopping were they are suppose to but i have search and that is just the switch. Now whats happening is that they only work when it has been turn on to any speed but only while i have the spray button push in. no water comes out and only works as it would when the sprayer is suppose to. (on for a few seconds) Im not sure if this is a common problem but searching has not come up with anything. By the way i have taken apart the multi switch and cleaned up all the contacts. If the contacts were the problem while does it only work when turn to any speed ( meaning the contact are working on the multi switch, I'm guessing) Any help will be appreciated Thanks

Travel'n Man Posted April 7, 2012 Share #3 Posted April 7, 2012 Don't spend a lot of time on your old slow wiper - here is the best fix that is out there IMO.http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/content.php?141-Honda-Wiper-Motor-Upgrade-for-the-240Z
SteveJ Posted April 7, 2012 Share #4 Posted April 7, 2012 I'm not sure whether or not the Honda upgrade is as "drop in" for 73 on due to the intermittent feature. I had a chance to glance at the OPs profile, and it lists a 73.

SteveJ Posted April 9, 2012 Share #6 Posted April 9, 2012 Okay, now that we've confirmed the year, perhaps I might have the time to describe diagnostics for you problems. Of course, the big challenge is remembering to do it.
