Great idea. The 370Z sales are in the toilet most likely due to high price and a bloated look. A BRZ fighter would be a welcome addition IMHO. That said, simply reducing the engine size and weight in the 370Z won't work. They will end up with another Infiniti G25 which is a dog.

Right on Jeff.....give me a small, light, agile beast with some real excitement ........kind of like...oh yes...THE 240Z was!!

I think the 370Z isn't selling so well because of the economy and yes, it's price. As for the styling, I think it's better than the 350.

Nissan needed to leak something like this while the Toyota/Scion/Subaru is coming out. The Scion FRS really looks like and specs close to a 240Z.

When the 350 prototype was rolled out (no engine yet) in 2001, Mr. K might have said a few things like:

1) too big

2) too heavy

3) too expensive

Maybe someone is listening.....
