Posted April 15, 201212 yr comment_387124 So, my oversized Boyd's (shown) are just too much for me. I'm planning to get new wheels and tires to fit the car. I have money and this time it's for real. What do you recommend? I'll take a look at some of the older posts but any new replies are welcome. I've been looking at both Panasport and Konig Rewinds. I had the Konig light silver on the car for one of our local shows here in Portland and they looked great. Panasports would be perfect too. But are there any other opinions out there? How about JDM wheels from Japan? Mike Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/42927-what-wheels-should-i-buy/ Share on other sites
April 15, 201212 yr comment_387150 Hi Mike,How about some Rota RBs? I have a set in 15X7 with some Bridgestone Grid 109s. I really like the way they look and the tires' performance is great.Cheers, Mike Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/42927-what-wheels-should-i-buy/#findComment-387150 Share on other sites
April 15, 201212 yr comment_387159 Here are my Konig Rewinds in a 16" X 7" with BFG g-Force Sport in a 205/55 X 16. My car is lowered with Mulholland springs, so this set-up fills the wheel wells nicely. The open spoke design allows painted calipers to show off. The Rota RB's and Panasports are excellent alternatives for a similar look. April 15, 201212 yr Author comment_387164 I just added a photo to my original post showing the Boyds (the way they are now). Here's another shot of what I've got now: And, with borrowed Konig Rewinds (15"): Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/42927-what-wheels-should-i-buy/#findComment-387164 Share on other sites

I can't seem to remember what they look like... The 15's I had at the show look good (see other post), but, I don't think they filled the wheel wells enough. The 16's would probably do the trick! April 15, 201212 yr comment_387174 Mike, that is a truly awesome yellow car! My tire size selection matches the 25" diameter of the original 175x14's, so - in my case it is probably the lowering that is providing the fill-effect.Jim Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/42927-what-wheels-should-i-buy/#findComment-387174 Share on other sites
April 16, 201212 yr comment_387186 VTO LeMans. Only in 15", but I guarantee that with the right size tires you can still fill the fenders. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/42927-what-wheels-should-i-buy/#findComment-387186 Share on other sites

April 16, 201212 yr comment_387285 One of the guys I met over the weekend told me that if you are a member of NASA ($50.00. membership) they have a special on the Rewinds for $260.00 for the set. Made me wish I needed wheels. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/42927-what-wheels-should-i-buy/#findComment-387285 Share on other sites

April 17, 201212 yr comment_387307 I currently love these - they are work equips, they are a bit pricey, but varrstoen makes a good looking affordable replica : http://www.ebay.com/itm/15X8-VARRSTOEN-V2-WHEELS-4X114-3-RIMS-0MM-FITS-DATSUN-240Z-70-85-/370574904456?hash=item5647fc4c88&item=370574904456&pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr#ht_3256wt_1141 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/42927-what-wheels-should-i-buy/#findComment-387307 Share on other sites
