April 18, 201212 yr comment_387497 Interesting comments on the thread. Honestly, the 280ZX was my first choice while I was trying to find the right Z. I still would like one today and relish in owning a turbo model. But, with all that said there was a reason why I chose a 280Z (S30). I was at some filthy salvage yard checking out a ZX.....Then I turned to my side and saw a 280Z. I walked over to it and was marveling over the design and the interior. The dash and steering wheel really impressed me. It had some edge that the ZX did not. It looked like a real sports car. Shortly after that I responded to an ad in the Recycler, a local ads paper in LA for a 78 280Z. It was love at first sight and the test drive was thrilling. I was 20 years old. 15 years later I'm still in love. That first drive was unforgettable and changed my life. I'm lucky to still own her through thick and thin.
