Posted April 19, 201212 yr comment_387616 I'm working in that area and thought I'd go on and change it out. I've read flush with diesel fuel. I've read synthetic is best, Redline, and also read not to put syn in something that has had "dinosaur dope for 30yrs". Blue's tech tip says to flush out but doesn't say what to use. Please share 280z tried and true expieriences. Thanks for any replies. April 19, 201212 yr comment_387619 I always flush diffentials with..........differential oil. Did it on both the 280Z and the 810 soon after I purchased them. And I replaced it with regular dino lube. I only use synthetic on vehicles that call for it but that's just me. April 19, 201212 yr comment_387636 Drain the old and add new. It flushes when you drain. Most metal gets captured by the magnetic drain plug so wipe that off with a cloth.I used Redline fluid.
