April 23, 201212 yr comment_387998 I have a set of headlight covers as well. The lenses are polycorbonate. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polycarbonate Please read about (at least this) the material so that we may not discuss mis-information. April 23, 201212 yr comment_388013 By the way - I have dealt with '' Gira '' the ebay vendor selling these . Not cheap , but trustworthy . My very early 3 screw covers came from this vendor.I'm still looking for the mounting blocks , I may make them if factory ones don't fall out of the sky soon ! April 23, 201212 yr comment_388060 Hi Chris:Wait a minute - at Post #8 you state "The lenses are polycorbonate". At Post #10 you show the discription that says "Headlamp covers are made of clear plexiglas. So looks like they are plexiglas {PMMA} - - or the person writing the description was just using the wrong generic / trade name?I've seen several of the After-market ones broken, scratched.. and I'm pretty sure they are plexiglas! I've used SuperGlue to put a few back together as well.FWIW,Carl B. April 24, 201212 yr Author comment_388078 So Jag's use the polycarbonate on their covers and the Z G nose use a plexiglas type cover.......:bulb: I have the generic poly/plexi type head light covers with the black molding from Motorsport and I get lots of complements, the covers give the Z a very Euro flair Edited April 24, 201212 yr by 72 OJ Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/43009-head-lights-coversbig-price-tag/#findComment-388078 Share on other sites
