Mud Guards

I had asked on the "datsun parts and needs" facebook page a week or so ago about mudguards for Z cars, and a picture surfaced but no one knows the source for mudguards like this:

So does anyone have a set of them or knows where I can buy a set?

I am not a fan of mud guards on a sports car, more so on a Z, it takes away it's flair, but if this a must, go to a small truck/SUV parts and accessory retailer store or a specialized magazine and there you will find the flex/molded type rubber guards as in the picture.

I bought some diamond plate vinyl (I think it is normally used for flooring) cut it to size and shape, and screwed it on to the fender in the existing holes. The stuff is pretty stiff and doesn't deflect much but it is slightly flexible.

I cut it slightly wider than the stock plastic pieces because my tires stick out a bit more than stock.

Seeing as the OP was asking WHERE to buy the parts, the comments as to how you feel about them are not necessary.

He wasn't asking for your opinion.

To top it off with "go buy them at an accessory parts place" qualifies your answer as a DUMB answer. :stupid:

Those mud guards (aka Splash Guards) are available from our sponsor - Motorsports:

The splash guards shown are custom molded for the year of the Z and are the best fit I've seen in years. The style does differ for the front and rear as they fit to the fender outline very well.

. I See plenty of personal opinions given on this forum , and plenty have nothing to do with the original issue , I made a suggestion on where to find the item and placed my opinion on the item. In your profile I see that your Z has this guards, if this offends you.....not my intent......life is full of flavors ;) Also if you make a call to a quote , use the entire line and not a part of it to justify an offense. Darkwolf, my guards are not the ones in the picture but I have had them on my car for over 35 years. I put them on for one reason and that was to protect the paint, we used salt and gravel on the roads back in the 70's during the winter. My paint is perfect behind the wheel wells. I am thinking of getting the ones listed in post # 4, I think they would look better and more for the car by fitting into the lines of the car. I have since changed the tires to 205/70/14 Goodrich TA to fill the wheel well better. The old tires are 205/60/14. The first picture is the new tire and the second tire is the old Goodyears.
