7/70 Grapefruit alternator---

does anyone know of a shop?

As the work on my 7/70 progresses I've come to need restoration services for this alternator.

Early type Nissan part #: 23100-A4800 (LT140-53) up to 8/71

26th-Z shows pictures and mentions the restoration of his for #26 and #27 in this post (#19):

http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/thread16641.html#post121846

No mention is made as to where the work was done, and the thread (from 2005) contains a mixture of posts regarding early Z parts (not Electrical specific).

Also--does anyone have a condenser that matches the one pictured that they do not need? If so please give me a PM.

I will try contacting 26th, but wanted to get this in front of a larger group to explore the experiances of others having this sort of work done.

Thanks for any help!

Jim D.

I should think that almost any Automotive Electric Shop that rebuilds starters and alternators could rebuilt it for you. Should be some in your local area. Just be sure to explain clearly how you want it to look when its done - make sure they understand you are rebuilding it for a correct restoration..

FWIW,
