Posted June 6, 201212 yr comment_392185 I was getting ready to remove my alternator tonight so I started by disconnecting the wiring. Unfortunately, the brittle wire for the condenser snapped off in my hand. I assume that you can buy replacements but is there a specific type I need to ask for? Not sure if all condensers are created equal or not. Here's a pic of the one on my car before I trashed it. Thanks for any help you can provide. June 6, 201212 yr comment_392231 It is there for Radio Noise Supression - I wouldn't worry about replacing it. Any Radio Noise suppressing condenser that fits will be fine - if you want to replace it.FWIW, Carl B.
