Gold or Green?

Recommended Posts

I plan on painting my z within the next few months, but can't decide on a color. I like the green and the gold because i don't see a lot of them that color. my car was originally gold and has a black interior. i know the gold would be easier and have a better off set with the black interior but i like the green just as much.

whats everyone else think and

dose anyone have pics of a gold z?

If money is no obstacle , paint it the color of your choice, yes keeping it the way she was born is ok but I agree that it is also ok to give your ride your personal touch, a dark green color will give her a classy vintage look ;)

Here is my 76 in original 302 green leaf metallic. You don't see too many in this color. It's my favorite. I added the gold as accents, front grill is gold, back tail light surround is gold and I put gold pin strips down the length of the car.

My vote is for Safari Gold. Was never a fan of that metallic green personally and it would be easier to do original color and potentially more valuable for resale if that is ever a consideration. If you do decide to do a change of color, I would advise removing everything from the engine bay and doors etc. It looks terrible when someone opens the hood, doors and hatch and it's a different color than the exterior. Although at least orange (close enough) and green are complimentary colors :) Just my $.02

The Silver and Green paints from the 70's went bad pretty quickly. Modern paint formulations of the classic Nissan paint codes with GlamourClear on them are all stunning. Your dad's car which you masterfully photographed for instance. The 113 green is real similar to a Chip Foose paint formulation. This a shot of mine in the paint both last November (113 Green)... Biggest problem with the leaf and avocado greens is the cars become invisible in Texas and you get run off the road quite a bit.
