Posted June 13, 201212 yr comment_392897 So I am trying again to quit smoking:sick:As an added incentive I am looking into a new carpet kit. My 77 has the sloped rear deck and I would like loop, as close to stock as possible.Any recommendations? June 13, 201212 yr comment_392901 MSA has great carpet kits. They sell cut pile and loop options. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/43517-carpet-kits/#findComment-392901 Share on other sites
June 13, 201212 yr Author comment_392904 I have browsed MSA the only kit for an early 77 does not state if it cut or loop. Have you used one of there kits? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/43517-carpet-kits/#findComment-392904 Share on other sites
June 13, 201212 yr comment_392969 I have one of their kits. They do have loop and cut pile, call and request samples. My kit is for a 260 and is a 7 piece kit, so it is different than what would fit your car. It does have the heel pad and backside pad, as well as sewn edging where it is exposed. June 13, 201212 yr Author comment_393008 I guess I just need to call around. I have heard in the past about a smaller business that specialized in Zcarpet. I forget there name.I also will do a thread search and google search. But really I wanted to know about others experiences, Good and bad. June 13, 201212 yr comment_393011 Try ACC...Auto Custom Carpet.Chuck Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/43517-carpet-kits/#findComment-393011 Share on other sites
June 13, 201212 yr Author comment_393012 Wow. for over $400 ACC only offers cut pile no loop and the site does not say if it's for an early 77 or late 77. I could call them anyhow. June 14, 201212 yr Author comment_393020 Who knows they may still sell in loop. just seems a little pricey. But thanks for the tip. The more choices the better. June 14, 201212 yr comment_393022 We ordered a carpet for my dad's '72 from www.stockinteriors.com and I was really impressed. Very nice fit, pad was attached to the carpet and is high quality. Much better than the one I got from MSA for my '74. Although it's not bad. June 14, 201212 yr Author comment_393034 Nice Car! but I am looking for loop pile not cut. www.stockinteriors.com had really good pricing on premolded carpet kits like I have seen else were but what they sold was cut not loop pile. June 14, 201212 yr comment_393064 Hey 30 Ounce, that is a great shot of the carpet you installed. Which is that one exactly? Plush or ultra plush? It does not look like the loop carpet.
