Posted June 21, 201212 yr comment_393626 I have a 1971 240z and I installed the Eibach springs, and the kyb shocks, and now the front end is sitting to high will this set-up work, or do you have to cut the front springs ? I installed the kyb front shocks 361002 on the front and the back 361001 the Eibach spring for the front is the long spring and the short one goes in the back I was told that MSA is this the way it should be ?Thanks Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/43590-71-240z-z-eibachs-springs/ Share on other sites
June 21, 201212 yr comment_393667 I think the long go on the back and the short on the front. When I put the Eibachs on my 73 I had to change the rear insultor to the 280 insulator which is a little taller. That leveled out my car and it looks and handles great. June 21, 201212 yr comment_393670 There are part numbers printed on the springs. The front PN ends with a 1, and the rear with a 2. This seems to happen a lot... June 22, 201212 yr comment_393787 Agree. I spoke to an Eibach tech (Dave?) earlier this week and he confirmed that the springs should be installed with the printing right-side up, and spring PNs ending in 1 in the front, and 2 in the rear. He also said the spring constants for the 240z Eibach springs are 148lb/in front and 303lb/in rear.
