Looks like a single-barrel intake manifold and exhaust manifold.

At first glance I only saw the intake, but your right there's an exhaust manifold too.

l20-28 intake and exhaust with hitachi single carb?

The owner is obviously trying to hide it ( I can see the scrape marks where it got pushed under the shelf! ).

I can imagine that all that anti-smog equipment must really strangle it. Poor thing.

lOOKS LIKE AN ANCHOR TOO MEROFL

IT IS A SINGLE BARREL HITACHI DOWNDRAFT(SP) SETUP FOR THE JAPANESE MARKET ZED'S IT CAME WITH THE L20 ENGINE AND IS SUPPOSED TO BE RARE. SHOWN IS THE EXHAUST AND INTAKE MANIFOLD, THE CARB, AND THE EMISSIONS SYSTEM. THE BLUE PAN/PART AT THE TOP IS PART OF THE AIR BOX. BECAUSE OF THE EGR VALVE I WOULD GUESS IT IS FROM A LATER MODEL ZED.

What about the L-20A? I was just comparing the pic of the L-20A in my 71 service manual and it does look similar.....

What did the L-24 with the single downdraft come in?

Many Datsuns had l series and single carb. Laurel(In finland we had l20 with single carb, 260c, Cedrics and so on...) . Maybe some pick-ups(don't really know)
