Positive Battery Cable?

I don't think the original positive battery cable is available any more for a 1970 240,

so I have been using a generic cable for many years. I do need to replace it, as the

connector has cracked. Any suggestions on a cable and length?

The one I have has a big cable going to the starter, with the fusible link coming off the bolt.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Bob

I had the same issue with my former Z, I went to a battery store/ they sell industrial / and also work on trucks and passenger cars and they basically made one that look very much as the original, heavy gauge cable and both corrosive resistant ends was 45.00. Check in your locale for this type of shop . Make sure to use a rubber cover for both terminals on battery.;)
