July 13, 201212 yr Author comment_395585 I have! and after some tuning this thing is quick. Before I received the throttle bodies I did a break upgrade. Converted the drums to disk and put 4 piston calipers on the front. So when I got it running I was testing the new throttle bodies and breaks. Turns out I needed to upgrade the master because I had no breaks! I put a master off a 82 ZX 2+2, had to modify it a little but it works great. Damn this thing is fast! July 13, 201212 yr Author comment_395586 Looks cool, did you weld the Z emblem in the fill hole? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/43745-air-box-for-my-6-throttle-bodies/?&page=2#findComment-395586 Share on other sites
July 13, 201212 yr comment_395587 TWM has them in FG or CF. ITG has a engine bay filter setup with a blank backing plate that you cut out to match your intake needs. Have the FG box in my street 240 w/Mikunis and the old ITG filter sits on the 50mm Solexs in the race car.Madkaw, I really like the idea but you need to look at equalizing the air flow to the rear of the box by making it smaller in that section. You only need about a 3/8-inch radius for an effective velocity stack when you enclose intakes in a box. With just a filter I would run the taller stacks.
