Posted January 23, 200322 yr comment_24252 Not sure on the theory behind this but:Anyone ever tried fitting Flat slide throttle motorcycle carbs to the L6's before?im talking about the mikuni and keihin ones...Problems i can see are...powerband would be too high, and finding the right size carbs for our use?I know this sort of conversion is very popular on the 4age toyota 4 cylinders due to their instant throttle response, and very high flow. Top end power is generally comparable to a highly tuned FI system. Cost of these carbs is relatively cheap from what ive seen too! January 23, 200322 yr Author comment_24373 ahh..no wonder it didnt turn up in my search.wow, those pics certainly look the goods.any idea on how driveable they are?or is it all mid-top end.I would be very interested in following this path, but seeing as there is next to no information out there...will probably have to go speak to some experts who have done the FCR conversion onto other 4 cylinder engines like 4age and mx5.Alan, if you had any links to those japanese companies that would be great! Cheers. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/4400-mikuni-keihin-carbs-on-l6/#findComment-24373 Share on other sites
