hls30.com Posted August 7, 2012 Share #2 Posted August 7, 2012 If you actually go back to original Car and Driver issues from release dates, the Pony cars were not originally developed or reviewed as sports cars, they were sporty, compact cars, could be the reason. They think they are driving sportscars. According to Wikipedia, Mustangs are still pony cars, Hondas are compacts, and BMWs are classified as "executive cars."
