Posted August 11, 201212 yr comment_398261 Series 1 240z with Toyota pickup calipers?Currently the stock refreshed master vac and new master cylinder don't cut it.... not enough power assist and too much excursion.I am thinking an 83 280zx master with larger master vac that can fit w/o drilling firewall... but which one? August 11, 201212 yr comment_398283 I've been very happy with the Wilwood 1" master on a stock booster with Wilwood brakes. http://www.wilwood.com/MasterCylinders/MasterCylinderProd.aspx?itemno=260-8794I was running the 15/16" until it failed. I couldn't find a rebuild kit for it so I switched to the Wilwood master. It requires a small amount of filing on the base of the master to get it to fit but once installed you can't see the modification and it looks very close to stock. Here is a thread on hybrid Z about it...http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/102754-a-one-inch-diameter-brake-master-cylinder-for-the-s30-z-cars/ Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/44067-what-size-master-brake-cylinder-and-master-vac-for/#findComment-398283 Share on other sites

August 11, 201212 yr Author comment_398366 Do you know if the 73 will bolt in Series 1 or does it need the 4 holes wider? If I have to drill I'll try to find the biggest that will fit.
