The 1600 cc 4AGE motor in the original Toyota MR-2 which wound up to 8500 rpm's was a real sewing machine. No torque but tons of fun. Dual intake runners for low and high rpm's.

The 2.0 liter turbocharged 5sZE motor in the later MR-2's could be BUILT to over 600 horsepower with the proper add ons, the bottom end could take it. That's why the fast and furious crowd LOVED that motor.
