Floor pans

I know another floor pan thread. just have a quick one here. i am ready to put my floor pans in tonight and need to know do i want to put some seam sealer in where i can before i get them welded in or wait till after.

I am going to fit them in place with screws then take it to have them welded in. thanks for the help.

Do NOT put in any seam sealer. You don't want anything interfering with the welds. The welder will need clean (no rust, no paint, no sealer, etc.) metal for welding. Good luck!

Seam sealer goes in after the floors are welded in-you can use weld through primer before, but I have always welded in the floors bare, flushed the seams thoroughly with mineral spritits then after it had completely dried, flowed Ospho/MetalReady/through them to etch them rinsed again with laquer thinner, and flowed them with POR15 or Rustoeleum, then seam sealed once dry. I hate rust.
