I recently acquired a 1977 280z from the grandson of the original owner. It is an Arizona car and lived there its whole life. It was bought originally in 1977 at Thoroughbred Datsun (now Nissan) and came with quite a few dealer options, this interior being one of them. Has anyone seen anything like this in a Z car? I will be posting full pics of the car soon. I am a new member on here, any info would be great. Thanks

When i went to mid ohio in 2010 there was a 280z with plaid.

I had a hide-a-bed once in the early 80's with that same upholstery Do post more pics of the car. It looks like it was taken care of from the looks of the one pic.

This is the closest thing to that i can find in my stash of interior pictures. Is this funk pasted on your headliner too?

Thanks, no the headliner is black fortunately, although I do love the plaid seats and door panels I wouldnt want that for my headliner.

All of the cloth insert seats I've seen have been in AZ cars. I think the black vinyl cooked enough legs that somebody started doing cloth retrofits. It was either done new by the dealer, or the sun killed the original vinyl on the doors and seats and someone had it redone at an upholstery shop .

I bought one 240 that had something similar, but with a SouthWest pattern. It was nasty looking. I probably have old film pics somewhere.

I know that the fabric was shown on the catalog with 2+2. I did not know they had the same fabric on the door panel.....Amasing !

Do you have the sun burst yellow car? Is that a ZZZAP car?

It would only be cool if you wore a matching kilt when driving.
