Posted August 24, 201212 yr comment_399668 With Fred & Todd's help, we've narrowed the issue with my transmission down to part #7 on the attached diagram, known as the 'Pin-Ball lever.' Part Numbers listed are 30537-E3200 or 30537-21010. I have some folks telling me it's still available, but neither of my local Nissan dealerships can order it. Hesitant to use nismoparts.com or something like that as getting it by the 1st of Sept. is important. Any ideas? August 24, 201212 yr Author comment_399669 Perhaps this is it, at a 325% markup: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Datsun-240z-260z-280z-280zx-Clutch-Fork-Pivot-Ball-NOS-/370510405980?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item564424215c&vxp=mtrLooks like I could find that stuff at the hardware store. Anyone have a junk transmission they might be willing to pull it off of??Cheers! August 25, 201212 yr comment_399709 I had that part brake in beep and creep rush hour traffic in Berkeley CA, on Interstate 80 in 1995. Talk about a fun time! I was in fast lane at the time and had to work my way over to the off ramp that was coming up with no clutch--locked in gear. The only way to drive the car was to kill the engine, if I had to stop and then start it in 3rd gear.I made it home slowly with a lot of pissed other drivers; but I did make it. I have changed the clutch twice since then, and every time that is the first part that I replace.
