Got truck?

It's about time Nissan made a full size truck. That picture would be complete if it was towing a 240Z on a trailer. I've been thinking about getting a truck with a back seat. Been steering towards a Dodge. Looks like there is a new contender.

Not too shabby! Let's hope it does as well as Toyota's Tundra. They really need to make a pure 4-door version. That seems to be the new fad in trucks. I certainly like my F350 4-door! But, it's a tank.

Drecord, I know you didn't just say the D word. Dodge?! You must be nuts.

well, to tell you the truth I'm a novice when It comes to trucks. I the last truck I owned was a 1989 toyota. I bought it brand new. In my line of work, I see more contractors using the Dodge truck, than the Ford. That's why I leaned toward the Dodge. Tell me, why is a Ford better than a Dodge?? Either way, I'll probably get that Titan. Speaking of the Tundra, I heard it was racing in the NASCAR truck series next season.

Mike has just been smelling that skunk p--s too long... There isn't anything wrong with a Dodge! I've had 4 Rams since 94 and only had one I didn't love. They messed with the computers because of the new emissions control and got lousy gas mileage out of the 318 in the 2000 Ram I had.

Get the new diesel and all you'll see of a Ford is them disappearing in the rear view mirror!

I'm wondering one thing, why does Nissan have the rear hinged back doors when the rest are going to the front hinged doors....

And what's with the hatch behind the rear wheel?

My Daily Driver is a 95 GMC Sonoma with 150,000 miles, been pretty damn good to me. If I were to buy a new truck today it would be a DODGE... Quality, respectable price and damn nice looking.

As far as the 4 door trucks......... the ones they are making now should not be called trucks. My wife's Jetta has more trunk space than any of the beds in those new 4 door "trucks"

Trucks shouldn't be a fashion statement!

I"m getting a 4-door truck out of practicality, not looks. I have a wife and kid, so I need a vehicle with a back seat. I also need a truck, for various reasons. One of them being for towing the Z when I move to Texas, or taking the Motor to the speed shop (hopefully not very often) can't do that with a Jetta. J/K there Arizona240z:classic:

:geek: first let me clarify that its past happy hour on Friday and that drecord should take this with a grain of salt :geek:

If one of those trucks with 4 doors and a 3ft by 3 ft bed can haul anything more than a cartful of groceries then I'm the Pope. And just so everyone knows, I hate the #@$%^&* Jetta with a passion, if it's here past April it is only because I was able to muster up enough cashola to pay the lease off (my wife did that before I even met her) and then we would have NO car payments!

I did say I have a Sonoma, that is a SMALL truck, I just want to advise anyone looking for a truck, if they need to haul anything, get as big a truckbed as you can get. I used to drive an 82 (I think that was the year) Silverado with a full size bed and damn do I miss that thing. If I'd a owned that truck, I'd still have it.

Mandatory Z content: The Z engine might fit in that small bed but it won't be fun getting it in there.

Rear doors: Nissan claims to have an 'edge' on "almost 180 degree opening rear doors".

Beds: Ditto, those four-door trucks with the 4' beds are a joke. And those flip-out bars that add a foot are an even bigger joke. Those of you who have shopped for a Frontier know it is the ONLY compact truck available with four doors AND A FULL (compact full-size) size bed (6'). Toyota still has the grocery bed on their 4-door.

I don't read anything about a stick. 5-speed auto seems to ce the only option. I might consider one when they come in a stick.
