782+2 just quit electrical

My 280z 2+2 has left me stranded 2x's now in the last week, just puttin along and everything just shuts off. I can turn key to "on" position and all gauges work and fuse panel shows no blown fuses. I get a faint smell of hot wire from the passenger floorboard for a minute,then clears . The 1st time I had her towed to my Mech, and the recent radiator flush may have left some air in the radiator, coolent was down about 1/2 gal,, thought that the zcar may have just shut itself, but temp gauge was ok? Ran fine for a few days, then it happened again, but when I pulled off to the side of the road, She started up , once again I could smell somthing getting hot like wires or somthing. What should I look for 1st. I had read an email on another sight monthes ago what this had happend to a guy, but do not remember was discoverd.

Any Suggestions please Help
