Alternator connection boot

So far, it looks like the spark plug boot might work. I got one from a Chevy and it might need a little trimming, but the shape is generally correct. I would like one with a slightly longer arm on it, so I will hold off on making this permanent for a few days.

I might even use some black RTV stuff to keep it totally water-proof.

I was able to push the eyelet through the spark plug boot easily with some silicone grease, but for some reason, I couldn't get the boot over the stud on the alternator. I don't think it will be a problem, as long as I keep the area and connections clean. If I find something better (or just bigger) I will try it later, but the spark plug boot was a good idea.

Jey, sorry for the delay, but I've tried a couple spark plug ends, and they were all too small to allow the wire to the bend and the eyelet connectors to fit on the threaded stud. I tried only spark plug boots from a car (full-size cars) so I'm wondering if there is some thin truck maybe?g like a large spark plug boot? from a truck maybe?
