Paint issue with chassis black spray paint

Anybody have problems with Eastwood chassis black epoxy spray paint? I have 4 cans that leak around the nozzle and the nozzle wont spray properly. I cleaned them and they will work a few seconds then spray funny. Not impressed with the $14 per can price. I tried VHT epoxy paint with excellent results so far. My finished my rear suspension with eastwood and it turned out great but will have to repaint with VHT to match. Maybe their is a bad batch?

Whoever eastwood buys it from had a bad batch of nozzles or propellent.

Yes, bought 4 cans not one sprayed correctly and eventually plugged. Was very $&@#=! off at them and there then away. Could have returned them for more than I paid for the original order.Capitalism at it's best! Consumer looses.

So it's not just me. I cant recommend there spray paint. I will redo my rear suspension using the VHT epoxy paint. I tested a few small parts and it turned out very well.

I purchased several cans of the Eastwood semi gloss extreme chassis black a few weeks ago and have been starting to use on a project. I am getting really nice results but have been tempted to test / compare VHT's roll bar / chassis paint. I also purchased and have been using the Eastwood chassis black primer- which has had some spray nozzle seeping but nothing major and still good spray patterns with no effect on the finish. I have had no spray nozzle issues from the semi gloss paint so far, at least with the cans I have used (I still have unopened cans on the shelf). I do find that the eastwood system requires at least 24 hours between coats and I am thinking I will let the parts sit for a few weeks to cure before I install.

The truth on quality from China:

The problem parts above are most likely made in China where, for the majority, quality means nothing and making money at all costs is the highest goal.

If someone there can make the nozzles out of lower cost plastic that was dissolved by the paint solvents (Fake Nozzles) they darn well would....and if Eastwood reps/buyers saw this they would stop the lot and require correct plastic nozzles....then the Chinese plant would come around and good plastic nozzle would go on for a short time then the Fake ones would creep back in, maybe all or maybe after being caught it would be one in 100....that is "the norm". It actually gets worse because Eastwood's Chinese manufacturer would buy from 3rd party suppliers who are usually not vetted nor are their batches when they arrive at the production plant so deviations from the specifications will happen all the time.

It is Eastwood's responsibility to have QA and real time production sampling and "boots on the ground" to ensure that products adhere to their strict standards however, costs most likely have stopped this and they probably have farmed QA to a local Chinese QA company that again strives to make money over anything else and falsifying records, bribery, and such is the norm.

Sadly I worked for a Chinese company for the past 5 years and have seen this and much worse. I do not recommend buying anything from China if it is possible.
