September 14, 201212 yr comment_401579 I got this email from Mr. Brock himself:Hi…. It’s been so long that I don’t have the specs on the 311 camshaft. It wasn’t a full race grind, like we used in our team cars, but a nice improved performance grind that took advantage of better breathing headers and intake with improved compression. I’d change to better valve springs, retainers and keepers than stock if you intend to use it. It’s perfectly usable on the street. Tune up and go to the drags to make some base line runs with you stock set up. Then install the cam and try again. I think you’ll notice the difference. If you like that, THEN go for a full rework on the head with tuliped valves and higher compression!
